The October release of our advanced image converters brought you a new GUI (graphical user interface). This is a major step forward in the development of Easy2Convert Software in the past couple of years. However, this is not the end of the path, but is only the first iteration in a new visual appearance which will come to replace the older interface. Perhaps, it’s a disputable point, but necessary.
Our software is taking on a new shape and functionality. We continue to receive many feature requests to add new options required by the end users. And the first task on the way is a new GUI. Well, let’s see what has changed in the graphical user interface in the current version.
Take a look at the screenshot (RAW to JPG PRO as an example):
Firstly, the main application window is now resizable. You can open it in a minimized form as before or re-size up to full screen so you can see all those long filenames and folders in the list.
Secondly, the “Convert” button has been up-sized a bit and the shortcut icons have been moved to the toolbar.
Third, those quick options (image re-size and output quality) have been moved to the settings (the menu “Converter” – “Preferences…”). Instead, the “Output Format” option has been placed there.
Perhaps, some of these decisions might seem ambiguous and controversial. Nevertheless, they are required for further products development and an increasing functionality of Easy2Convert software.
Besides all above, the settings structure was also redesigned significantly:
The final shape of a new GUI will be formed in future software updates. This is primarily for the toolbar icons, buttons, file-formats graphics, quick access to frequently used options (image transformation, color correction), etc. These are the nearest tasks to implement in our software as for the GUI changes.
